Heribert Maria Nobis

Heribert Maria Nobis (born May 11, 1924 in Cologne ; † February 6, 2017 in Ebersberg , Bavaria ) was a German science historian and editor of the Nicolaus Copernicus Complete Edition .

In the early 1970s, Nobis was commissioned to publish a historical-critical edition of the works of Nicolaus Copernicus , for which he was given a job at the Deutsches Museum in Munich . After the publication of the first volume in 1974 and the second volume in 1984, four more volumes were published in the 1990s and three more after 2000.
