Herman F. Mark Division of Polymer Chemistry Award
The Herman F. Mark Division of Polymer Chemistry Award is a prize for macromolecular chemistry that has been presented every two years since 1976 by the Polymer Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society . It is endowed with $ 3,000 and is awarded in odd years. The award is given to members of the Polymer Chemistry Division of the ACS for outstanding research achievements and contributions to the progress of polymer science and has been named after the previous (1982) awardee Herman F. Mark since 1989 . Originally it was called the Division of Polymer Chemistry Award.
He is sponsored by Elsevier (editor of Polymer magazine), Dow Chemical, and the Polymer Chemistry Division of ACS.
The parent company ACS also presents the ACS Award in Polymer Chemistry every year .
