ACS Award in Polymer Chemistry

The ACS Award in Polymer Chemistry is an award from the American Chemical Society (ACS) in the field of polymer chemistry . The award has been presented since 1964 and was sponsored by the polymer chemicals company Witco Chemical Corp. donated. It has been sponsored by ExxonMobil since 1981 and is endowed with US $ 5,000 (as of 2014).

The award goes to people who have carried out fundamental research into the synthesis of special polymeric materials or who have gained deeper knowledge of the physical chemistry of polymers and their complex macromolecular behavior. The prize is intended to honor basic research in particular .

The Polymer Chemistry Division of ACS also presents the Herman F. Mark Division of Polymer Chemistry Award every two years .
