The Observation Hill (English for observation hill ) is a 230 m high and conical hill at the southwestern end of the Hut Point Peninsula in the southwest of the Antarctic Ross Island . It towers over Cape Armitage .
He was discovered and named by participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It is named after the fact that from the top of the hill there is a particularly good view of the surrounding area.
