Hermann Bissinger

Hermann Bissinger (born March 26, 1849 in Karlsruhe , † January 11, 1918 in Munich ) was a German engineer and chairman of the Association of German Engineers (VDI).

Life

After studying at the Technical University of Karlsruhe , Bissinger worked as an engineer in various private companies until 1876. After moving to the Baden State Railway Administration, he became a building officer and member of the general management there in 1883. While bite Ingers service with the Baden State railway administration electric lighting was introduced and the construction of the Höllentalbahn were racks according to the patent Klose applied -Bissinger. From 1891 to 1903 he was the technical director of the Nuremberg electricity company Schuckert & Co. in 1898 and in 1899 he was chairman of the Association of German Engineers (VDI), after having been a member of the VDI board in 1891 and 1892.

Bissinger died in January 1918 after a long and serious illness.
