Hermann Carl von Baumann

Hermann Carl Baumann , from 1883 by Baumann , (born August 18, 1818 in Neuenstein , † June 18, 1907 in Ludwigsburg ) was a Württemberg governor.

Life and work

Hermann Carl Baumann attended grammar school in Ellwangen from 1830 to 1836 and then studied political science in Tübingen until 1839 . In 1839 he passed the first and in 1840 the second higher service examination. He began his professional career in 1840 with a trial year at the Oberamt Öhringen . From 1841 to 1846 he was an actuary at the upper offices of Wiblingen and Mergentheim , from 1846 to 1849 he was assistant to the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen and from 1849 to 1852 he was a secretary to the replacement commission at the Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart. In 1852 he was appointed chief administrator at the Laupheim chief office , and from 1853 to 1862 he was chief administrator there. From 1864 to 1871 he took over the Oberamt Künzelsau as Oberamtmann. In 1871 he went to the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg as a member of the government , and in 1886 he became a senior councilor there. In 1888 he retired.

Honor, ennoblement

1883 was awarded the honorary Knight's Cross of Hermann Carl von Baumann Order of the Württemberg Crown excellent, which with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement was connected). He also received the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Friedrich Order .

politics

In 1876 Baumann was elected to the Württemberg state parliament for the constituency of Künzelsau . He held this office until 1882.
