Hermann Friedrich Roeck

Hermann Friedrich Roeck (born September 6, 1764 in Lübeck ; † December 27, 1829 there ) was a merchant and councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Hermann Friedrich Roeck was the son of the Lübeck merchant Ludwig Philipp Roeck († 1796) and grandson of the mayor of the same name, Ludwig Philipp Roeck . His mother was Magdalena Catharina, geb. Benser, the daughter of the Lübeck businessman and councilor Arnold Gottfried Benser .

He was elected to the Lübeck Municipal Council during the Lübeck French era in 1811 . Roeck was a member of the merchant company, from whose ranks he was elected councilor in 1820. In the council he worked in customs and allowances, the guardianship authority, the pawnshop of the city, in the street order, the Central Poor Deputation and the poor institution. He was also temporarily in the finance department, the high court and the slave fund . Roeck lived in the house at Große Petersgrube 29.
