Hermann Greve (politician)

Hermann Greve (born April 26, 1901 in Schapen ; † December 1, 1972 in Lingen (Ems) ) was a German politician ( center , CDU ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Greve attended the Catholic elementary school and from 1922 to 1924 the agricultural college in Freren . From 1924 to 1925 he was an agricultural student on an Artländerhof. Until 1932 he was involved in the Catholic youth movement and took part in many courses. In 1932 he took over the management of his parents' farm. From 1939 he was managing director of the Raiffeisen-Warengenossenschaft Schapen. From 1933 to 1945 he was not politically active.

Greve was a local council member after the war, then he was elected mayor and he became a member of the district council. In 1952 he was unanimously elected as district administrator for the Lingen district . In the state elections in 1955 he was elected as the only representative of the Center Party in the Lower Saxony state parliament, but joined the CDU on October 7, 1957 and from that point on belonged to the DP / CDU parliamentary group. At the end of the legislative period, Greve left the state parliament in 1959.
