Hermann Joseph von Fugger-Glött
Hermann Joseph von Fugger-Glött SJ (born February 3, 1833 in Glött ; † June 16, 1902 in Munich ) was a German Roman Catholic priest and theologian .
Life
On October 7, 1853, he joined the Jesuits in Gorheim . He completed religious studies in Münster, Bonn and Maria Laach. On November 11, 1865, he was ordained a priest in Augsburg . In addition to his work as a preacher and congregation leader, he was also active as a writer in Paderborn. He was involved in popular missions , for example, he preached in Erfurt in 1867 and in Sundern in 1868. In 1870/1872 he was in the Regensburg seminary and finally a preacher in St. Cassian. He made his last vows on August 15, 1872. Following the enactment of the Reich Law of May 4, 1874 , which threatened the loss of citizenship and expulsion from the Reich territory in the event of unauthorized exercise of church offices ("Banishment Act"), Fugger-Glött withdrew into private pastoral care and his work as a writer in Feldkirch.
He is buried in the church of St. Peter and Paul in Kirchheim in Swabia .
