Hermann Juch
Hermann Juch (born September 19, 1908 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ; † July 12, 1995 in Jona near Rapperswill , Switzerland ) was an Austrian lawyer, singer and opera director.
Hermann Juch worked in the Austrian federal theater administration from 1936 and from 1941 head of the artistic office of the Vienna State Opera . From 1946 to 1955 he was director of the Vienna State Opera at the Vienna Volksoper . There he put together a new choir and was very successful with his program design with the audience. From 1955 to 1964 he was general manager of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and from 1964 to 1975 director of the Zurich opera house .
