Hermann Kapp (doctor)

Hermann Kapp (born June 23, 1900 in Basel ; † February 7, 1976 ibid) is a Swiss physician and professor of internal medicine , gastroenterology and dietetics .

Life

In 1928 in Basel, Kapp presented his dissertation on the subject of comparative studies in the lowlands and high mountains on the behavior of basal metabolic rate and subsidence reaction in tuberculosis (published in Contributions to the Clinic of Tuberculosis, Volume 68. Springer, Berlin 1928, p. 378ff.) And was 1929 Dr. med. PhD . In 1933 he became a private lecturer . For forty years he was head of the dietetics department of the Basel University Clinic ; in the 1960s, Kapp was appointed associate professor of medicine at the University of Basel . Kapp was also a “specialist in gastric, intestinal and metabolic diseases, the medical clinic of the Basel Citizens Hospital ” and was an honorary member of the German Society for Digestive and Metabolic Diseases .
