Hermann Katsch

Hermann Katsch (born September 10, 1853 in Eisenach , † November 14, 1924 ) was a German painter.

Katsch studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich from November 1, 1872 . During his studies he became a member of the AGV Munich in the special houses association . Katsch was best known for his depictions of people.

Hermann Katsch was married to Elisabeth (1864–1903), daughter of the government councilor Ferdinand Beutner and Olga Brachvogel. His eldest son Gerhardt became a famous internist.

Hermann Katsch died in Berlin in 1924 at the age of 71 and was buried in the Katsch family's hereditary funeral in the Old St. Matthew Cemetery in Berlin-Schöneberg . A sculpture created by Rudolf Pohle adorns the family grave.
