Hermann Katzenstein

Hermann "Hermino" Katzenstein (born January 3, 1969 in Münster ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ) and a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament .

After graduating from high school in his hometown, Hermino Katzenstein studied physics at the universities of Cologne and Heidelberg with a degree in physics. There he works in the data center. He is a union member and has been chairman of the staff council at Heidelberg University since 2010.

Katzenstein has been a member of the Neckargemünd local council since 2009, the district assembly in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis since 2014. He has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 2008. In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 , he won a direct mandate (first mandate) in the state electoral district Sinsheim . In the state parliament he is a member of the Transport Committee and the Petitions Committee. Within the group of the Greens he is the spokesman for cycling and walking. In the ADFC cycling association , he has been chairman of the federal general assembly since 2019.
