Hermann Lemp
Hermann Lemp (born January 17, 1912 in Järkendorf , today a district of Prichsenstadt , Kitzingen district in Lower Franconia ; † January 18, 1990 in Kaiserslautern ) was a German classical philologist and high school teacher.
Life
Lamp was a high school teacher for Greek, Latin, German and history. In the years 1943 to 1944 he was provisional headmaster of his school, the old Bergzabern Latin School , which had been renamed the Oberschule since the 1930s.
Lemp's most famous publication is Herodes Attikus . For basic research he carried out numerous study trips around the Mediterranean in addition to indexing the text sources .
