Hermann Linke

Gustav Hermann Linke (born October 6, 1866 in Großschönau ; † July 13, 1925 in Pulsnitz ) was a German trade unionist and politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Landtag of the Kingdom of Saxony and the Saxon People's Chamber .

Life

Linke, son of a damask weaver, attended elementary school and then completed an apprenticeship as a weaver . Linke worked in the textile industry until 1906. Since 1893 he was organized in a union . From 1901 to 1906 Linke was a board member of the branch of the textile workers' association , from October 1906 to 1910 he worked as Gauleiter of the textile workers' association in Neugersdorf and then from 1910 to 1920 as managing director of the textile workers' association in Pulsnitz . In 1914 he was also a member of the board of the trade union cartel in Pulsnitz.

From 1898 to 1906, Linke was a member of Großschönau's municipal council . From 1902 to 1906 he acted as chairman of the SPD in Großschönau. From 1909 to 1920 Linke was a member of the Saxon Landtag (elected in the 6th rural constituency) and the Saxon People's Chamber .
