Hermann Maria Scholl

Hermann Maria Scholl (born March 27, 1875 in Darmstadt ; † September 3, 1957 there ) was a Hessian sculptor .

He was trained by his father Karl Scholl and his uncle Anton Scholl. In Frankfurt a. M. he attended the arts and crafts school. From 1896 to 1900 he studied in Berlin. From 1900 to 1901 he was on a study trip to Munich and the Rhineland. Then he settled in Darmstadt. Orders for state buildings in Hesse followed. B. New district court Darmstadt, new university building Gießen, district court Laubach, tax office Heppenheim, portrait of the privy councilor Med.Rat Jäger in the entrance of the Darmstadt city hospital etc. Hermann Maria Scholl died in Darmstadt in 1957 at the age of 82 and is buried in the family grave in the old cemetery in Darmstadt.
