Hermann Rieger (Chief Bailiff)

Hermann Rieger (born September 29, 1863 in Ellwangen (Jagst) , † July 25, 1933 in Horb am Neckar ) was a Württemberg chief bailiff.

life and work

The son of a clerk attended high school in Ellwangen, then studied criminal sciences in Tübingen. In 1886 and 1887 he passed the higher service exams. Between 1888 and 1893 he was employed as a deputy bailiff at several higher offices. In 1893 he became a clerk at the Gerabronn Oberamt, and in 1895 he was transferred to the Gmünd Oberamt. From 1899 to 1902 he worked for the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg. In 1902 he became a senior official at Oberamt Horb , which he headed until 1924.

Honors

  • In 1909 Hermann Rieger received the Karl Olga Medal in silver for his services to the Red Cross, for which he had been a volunteer district representative of the Württemberg state association since 1902.
  • In 1916 he was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Friedrich Order .
