Hermann Roelcke (born October 6, 1832 ; † 1896 ) was a German entrepreneur and soil speculator who was particularly involved during the founding period in the rural community of Weißensee, which was independent until 1920 (then a district in the Berlin district of Pankow ).

Hermann Roelcke ran a nursery in Charlottenburg as an art gardener from 1861 .

During the founding years, he and Gustav Adolf Schön speculated with properties in Weißensee. In order to benefit from the onset of construction, he founded a construction company with Gustav Adolf Schön, Ernst Gäbler and the “Busse & Co.” bank.

He built brickworks , had roads laid and paved, and houses built. While Gustav Adolf Schön increased his invested capital, Hermann Roelcke lost all of his fortune and died in 1896 mentally deranged.

With the Roelckestrasse in Berlin-Weißensee , Gustav Adolf Schön honored him while he was still alive.
