Hermann Siebold (born November 12, 1873 in Linden ; † January 6, 1951 in Schkeuditz ) was a German politician (SPD).

Live and act

After attending primary school in Bremen, Siebold learned the porcelain-making trade . Around 1890 he joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). In 1897 he married. Siebold later took on editorial tasks for social democratic newspapers.

In September 1922, Siebold moved to the first Reichstag of the Weimar Republic , elected in June 1920 , as a representative of constituency 32 (Leipzig) until May 1924, as a replacement for the resigned MP Karl Pinkau .

Due to the resolution of the general assembly of the SPD sub-district of Leipzig on February 3, 1924, not to nominate Reichstag members who had voted for the Enabling Act of the Marx government , Siebold was not re-elected as a candidate on the occasion of the Reichstag election of May 1924 . Instead, three representatives of the left wing of the Saxon SPD became candidates: Richard Lipinski , Hugo Saupe and Friedrich Seger .
