Hermann Speckmann

Hermann Speckmann (born September 16, 1937 in Delmenhorst ) is a German social worker , educator and non-fiction author .

Life

Hermann Speckmann grew up in the community of Ganderkesee . He learned the trade of a baker. On the second path of education, he obtained the higher education entrance qualification in 1960. From 1960 to 1963 he studied at the higher technical school for social work in Dortmund . From 1963 to 1965 further training in psychoanalytic play therapy followed at the Institute for Psychagogics in Heidelberg . There followed a period of professional activities in Stadthagen and Oldenburg in the social field; so he was the district youth worker in the district of Oldenburg. From 1971 to 1977 he studied educational science at the Universities of Oldenburg and Hanover with a diploma.

Services

Hermann Speckmann managed dormitories for mentally disabled people from 1977 to 1982. He then worked in the Kästorf Diaconal Homes until 2000.

Based on his practical experience, he described in publications - based on individual personality disorders - different pathologies of organizations, as well as assistance for single homeless people. He described the treatment of alcoholics by means of controlled alcohol delivery.

After retiring, he devoted himself to local history and Germanic-Roman relations during the Roman occupation. Hermann Speckmann and Gerold Spille described the historical person " Hasen-Ahlers " and other "almost true" humorous stories about him.
