Hermann Wendt (politician)

Hermann Wendt (born August 2, 1884 in Lemgo ; †  May 12, 1971 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He belonged to the Lippe state parliament from 1946 to 1947 and then to the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament from 1947 to 1954 .

Life

After primary school, Wendt attended various preparatory courses and seminars in Detmold and worked as a primary school teacher from 1904 to 1950 . Until 1930 he was a member of the German People's Party and a member of the Heiligenkirchen municipal council. Wendt was also a member of the German Teachers' Association. In 1945 he joined the CDU and became chairman of the Detmold district association, where he was also a member of the district council. He was a member of the Lippe state parliament from 1946 to 1947 and then moved into the second term of office of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia on February 25, 1947, to which he remained until July 4, 1954 after two state elections in the constituency 147 Detmold I were won .
