List of members of the appointed state parliament (Free State of Lippe)
List of the members of the appointed Landtag of the Lippe Landtag 1946–1947
The official opening of the appointed Landtag took place on May 9, 1946. The “predecessor” was a 12-member Landrat appointed by the British at the suggestion of President Heinrich Drake . It met 10 times from August 16, 1945 to April 1946 and primarily had an advisory function. The state parliament dissolved itself on January 21, 1947 on the occasion of the dissolution of the state of Lippe and accession to North Rhine-Westphalia. After the dissolution of the Free State, some of the MPs also belonged to the 2nd Appointed State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . The appointed Lippe Landtag met eleven times. Originally, the British planned to form a joint Lippisch- Schaumburg-Lippische Landtag. The Landtag had 31 members, including 3 non-party, 2 from the FDP, 5 from the KPD, 8 from the CDU and 13 from the SPD .
