Friedrich Wilhelm Winter (born September 18, 1896 in Silixen , † January 2, 1980 in Lemgo ) was a German social democratic politician.

Winter learned the profession of basket maker and, with a break from military service from 1914 to January 1919, worked in this profession and as a bricklayer until 1921. As a bricklayer, he worked in Chemnitz between 1911 and 1915 . In 1917 he married his wife Minna Friederike.

In 1919 he joined the SPD. In the same year he went to the Ruhr area as a miner, where he worked at the Schamrock colliery in Wanne-Eickel . Between 1921 and 1924 he was an association secretary at the factory workers' association in Bochum . Then he was plant manager of a brick factory in Silixen. Between 1925 and 1933 he was the head of the local community, from 1928 to 1933 he was also a member of the official assembly, and in 1932/33 he was a member of the district assembly as chairman of the SPD and the district committee of the Lemgo district . After 1945, Winter worked as an independent businessman in Silixen. on April 27, 1945 he was appointed mayor of Silixen by the Americans. In 1946 he was elected to the local council and mayor. He remained mayor of the municipality until it was incorporated in 1968. After that he was a member of the community assembly of the community Extertal until 1975 . In addition, Winter was a member of the Lemgo District Council from 1946 to 1972, where he was again parliamentary group spokesman, and from 1962 to 1972 District Administrator . Winter founded a company for coal, building materials and fertilizer trading. He also ran a car rental company.
