Hermann Wilhelmi

Hermann Heinrich Wilhelmi (born April 14, 1835 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ; † October 3, 1915 there ) was a German entrepreneur who laid the foundation for one of the oldest hoist factories in Germany.

With an initial capital of 30 Reichstalers, master locksmith Hermann Wilhelmi opened his own workshop on February 20, 1861 in Löhstrasse in Mülheim an der Ruhr . He had patented manual pulley blocks , electric hoists, trolleys and crane systems manufactured. In 1910 Wilhelmi expanded with a branch in Paris.

The lifting equipment company WILHELMI emerged from this workshop, later Hebezeug Fabrik Wilhelmi , from 1936 H. Wilhelmi KG , from 1979 Planeta-Hebezeuge Wilhelmi GmbH and finally from 2003 PLANETA-Hebetechnik GmbH .

The company PLANETA - Hebetechnik GmbH also has sales offices for Austria (since 2009) and France (since 2010).
