Hermann Wilhelm Julius Eduard Florian von Stutterheim (born October 7, 1843 in Holzminden ; † January 15, 1909 in Braunschweig ) was a German lawyer and director at the regional court in Braunschweig .

Life

Hermann von Stutterheim was born as the son of the then magistrate Hermann (August Adalbert Carl Eugen) von Stutterheim (1811–1881) in Holzminden. From 1860 he attended the Ducal Gymnasium there , which he left in 1863 with the Abitur in the direction of Göttingen to take up law studies at the Georg-August University . In Göttingen, he joined in 1863 in the connection and subsequent fraternity Holzminda one which he presided in the summer semester. 1866 After passing his exam (November 1866), he first worked as a lawyer at the district court and the public prosecutor's office in Holzminden, then at the district administration and the district court in Wolfenbüttel . As a one-year volunteer , he served with the Braunschweig Infantry Regiment No. 92 in 1867/68 . He took part in the Franco-Prussian War as a reserve officer. In 1873 he was transferred to Braunschweig as District Court Secretary, where he became District Judge in 1879, District Judge in 1884 and District Court Director in 1901.

On October 1, 1882, he married Anna (Auguste Helene) Cleve in Schickelsheim (born October 11, 1857 in Rottorf near Königslutter; † January 13, 1910 in Braunschweig). This marriage produced three children: two girls and a boy. His son of the same name, Hermann von Stutterheim, was born in 1887 , a German lawyer and ministerial official.
