Hermann Heinrich Friedrich von Witzleben (born April 11, 1864 in Daun ; † June 22, 1938 in Weimar ) was a Prussian major general and legal knight of the Order of St. John .

Life

He came from the Thuringian noble family von Witzleben and was the third child of the chief forest master Hermann von Witzleben (1827-1888). In 1891 he married Anna Luise Seelemann in Neustadt an der Orla . The marriage had two children. His son Hermann (* 1892) was major general in the Wehrmacht .

His brother-in-law was the Prussian Lieutenant General Karl von der Betten .
