Hermenegildo Martins

José Hermenegildo Martins († 1975 ) was an East Timorese politician and a founding member of the Associação Popular Democrática Timorense (APODETI).

Martins was the owner of a coffee plantation and Liurai in Ermera . In 1974 he became vice-president and member of the executive committee of the newly founded APODETI, a party that advocated the annexation of Portuguese Timor to Indonesia . A close relative of his was José Martins , a former APODETI member and first president of the Klibur Oan Timor Asuwain (KOTA) party founded in October 1974 .
