The Herreder Bach is a left tributary of the Helme in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia , Germany . From the source to the mouth, the Herreder Bach is a second order body of water, the maintenance is the responsibility of the water maintenance association Harzvorland.

The Herreder Bach arises from several sources in or near Hörningen . The place that gives it its name, Herreden , is the second and last on the course of the stream after Hörningen. Shortly before its mouth it touches the Hesserode district . The flowing water then flows into the Helme west of Hesserode .
