The Mr. Hammer GmbH special machines is the market leader in the automation and world's largest supplier of solutions in the field machines for candle making .

Foundation and company history

Administration at the Herrhammer headquarters in Ochsenfurt am Main

Alfred Herrhammer founded the company Maschinen- und Apparatebau Alfred Herrhammer in 1948 under the simplest of circumstances in Winterhausen am Main, which mainly bought, overhauled and resold damaged machine tools from large companies. In the spring of 1950, the company Wachs Schenk from Würzburg commissioned Mr. Herrhammer to build a machine for milling candle heads. This business was the beginning of the entire subsequent direction of the product range up to the modern age.

In 1972, the son Peter Herrhammer joined the company and made a significant contribution to the renewal and modernization of the product range. In addition, he strengthened the international business, which today has a share of around 75%.

Jochen Herrhammer, the grandson of the company founder, took over management of the company with his father after completing his degree in mechanical engineering. Until his death in 2004, he improved the company's internal processes in particular and created an IT-supported organizational structure.

After two moves, first to Ochsenfurt and later to the Ochsenfurt district of Hohestadt , Herrhammer GmbH Spezialmaschinen, together with its subsidiary Kürschner Maschinen-Service GmbH, is today a global technology leader for candle production machines with 80 employees at two production locations in Germany and a service office in China .
