Reign of Bussmannshausen

The rule of Bußmannshausen , based in Bußmannshausen , today a district of the municipality of Schwendi in the district of Biberach ( Baden-Württemberg ), was first mentioned in 1083. From the noble free von Bußmannshausen rule came to the Ulm patrician family Besserer in the 14th century . In 1434, the rule came into the possession of Hans von Rodt. Later the rule as part of the Margraviate of Burgau was given to the barons of Roth zu Bußmannshausen as a fief . Since 1800 the barons of Hornstein owned the rule.

As part of the mediatization in 1806, the rule of Bußmannshausen came under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Bavaria and in 1810 the rule came to the Kingdom of Württemberg through an exchange of territory .
