Bußmannshausen is a part of the community Schwendi in the district of Biberach in Upper Swabia .

history

Bußmannshausen is located in the Rot valley , four kilometers north of Schwendi.

Bußmannshausen was first mentioned in 1083 as "Burmundeshusen" . The rule Bußmannshausen then under the gräflich-church-Berg manorial . In 1212 Georg Besserer is mentioned as lord of the castle, and in the 14th century a feudal confirmation for the Ulm patrician family Besserer takes place. In 1434 the place came into the possession of Hans von Rodt. The Thirty Years' War , the War of the Spanish Succession and the Coalition Wars hit Bußmannshausen and the surrounding area badly. In 1806 there was a short interlude through belonging to the Kingdom of Bavaria before it was incorporated into the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1810 . In 1908 the castle burned down, ruins of which can still be seen on the hill.

On January 1, 1975 Bußmannshausen was incorporated into Schwendi. The hamlet of Kleinschafhausen is part of Bußmannshausen.
