The Wagegg dominion was a dominion based on Wagegg Castle . The nobles von Wagegg were first mentioned around 1170. Around 1350 they had to pledge the castle and in 1374 they died out.

Her completed fiefdom went back to the Prince Abbey of Kempten and, after various other awards, in 1469 to the Lords of Laubenberg . Friedrich von Laubenberg was Prince Abbot of the Kempten Monastery until 1434 . In 1581 the fiefdom went back to the monastery, where it remained until secularization in 1803. The Wagegg reign, which included the courts in Haldenwang and Börwang , was part of the Swabian Empire .

In 1803 the rule came to Bavaria .
