Manufacturer's declaration

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A manufacturer's declaration is a European single market guideline for national implementation in the member states of the Community.

history

The manufacturer's declaration within the meaning of the Machinery Directive 98/37 / EC of the European Parliament and the Council of June 26, 1998 was issued by the manufacturer or an authorized representative for a machine that does not function independently . According to Annex IIB of the directive, it had to contain the information that the commissioning of a machine or system in which this component is installed is prohibited until conformity with the directive has been established.

In the new version of the Machinery Directive (2006/42 / EC of May 17, 2006) the manufacturer's declaration has been replaced by a legally binding declaration of incorporation since December 29, 2009 .
