The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Polish: Kościół Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa ) in Krakow is a Catholic church at ul. Garncarska 24 in the Nowy Świat district .

history

inner space

The church was built before 1900 in Art Nouveau style with elements of Romanesque and eclecticism by Wacław Kaczmarski and Sławomir Odrzywolski for the Congregation of the Servants of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and consecrated in 1900. Jan Tombiński created the figures . A small museum of the founder of the order, Bishop Józef Sebastian Pelczar , has been set up near the church . The first superior, Blessed Klara Ludwika Szczęsna , is buried in the church.
