Sacred Heart Church (Węgierki)
The Sacred Heart Church in Węgierki near Września was built from 1904 to 1907 as a village church for the German-speaking Old Prussian Protestant community of Wilhelmsau , ecclesiastical province of Posen . After the First World War the parish belonged to the Uniate Evangelical Church in Poland .
After the Second World War and the expulsion of most of the German-speaking Protestant population, it was given the new patronage of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the Roman Catholic service on May 16, 1946 and elevated to a parish church on October 1, 1969 . The consecration of the church took place on 9 October 1997th
The church is a hall building with a gable roof and a neo-baroque ornamental gable. A massive square bell tower with a pyramid helmet is attached to the side of the chancel. At the corner of the portal there is a low, round stair tower with a neo-baroque hood . Next to the church is the cemetery .
