Hessian design award
The Hessian Design Award is a design award for the Hessian design craft. The prize is endowed with a total of 10,000 euros. With this award, the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Transport and Regional Development and the working group of the Hessian Chambers of Crafts promote the design competence in the craft in Hesse. It is awarded to creative craftsmen, artists and artisans who distinguish themselves with their self-designed work through outstanding craftsmanship and design. The Hessian Design Prize is judged. A catalog is published for each competition. The award-winning and selected works will be shown in an exhibition in museums and galleries of the Chamber of Crafts.
jury
A jury of experts will select the winners and participants in the exhibition and catalog from all the works submitted. The submitted works are evaluated by an independent jury according to the criteria of their own creative idea, innovation, design and aesthetics, usability, material selection and use, technical execution. The jury is made up of professional representatives from different areas of the creative crafts, the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Rural Development, the working group of the Hessian Chamber of Crafts and one representative of the executive chamber, as an advisory member without voting rights .
