Henriette Tomasi

Henriette Tomasi (born December 11, 1969 in Königstein im Taunus ) is a visual artist , master goldsmith , designer , painter , draftsman and poet . Her work focuses on sculptures , vessel art , jewelry , painting and drawing . Preferred materials are metal wire and metal thread made of silver , copper , gold , stainless steel and aluminum . Your work received state awards . Tomasi lived from 1969 to 1993 in Kronberg im Taunus , then in Hanau am Main , Frankfurt am Main , in Munich and since 2006 again in his hometown Kronberg im Taunus ( Hesse ).

Life

Henriette Tomasi comes from a family of artists in Kronberg. After graduating from high school in Kronberg in 1989, she completed her training as a goldsmith and attended the Kronberg art school with a focus on life drawing . She completed her training as a goldsmith in 1993 and studied from 1993 to 1997 at the State Drawing Academy in Hanau . During her studies with Franz Bette , she developed her own techniques for making jewelry, vessels and sculptures from metal wire and thread, and came up with an independent, artistic form of expression. In 1997 she completed her studies with Franz Bette and opened her first studio in Hanau-Steinheim as a freelance artist and designer. In 1998 she founded the “Atelier ka” in Frankfurt am Main. She worked there as a visual artist and draftsman. From 2001 to 2007 she worked with her husband Martin Tomasi (née Schütter) in Frankfurt and Munich. Today she works and lives as a visual artist in Kronberg im Taunus. At the same time, Tomasi writes poetry and short prose. Her texts have appeared in literary magazines and anthologies, including a. in the eXperimenta, summer grass, desk (edition Federleicht) and others.

Henriette Tomasi is the initiator of the competition for young art talent "Victoria Prize" of the Hochtaunuskreis and the city of Kronberg im Taunus. The patron of this project was and is the district administrator of the Hochtaunus district. She is the initiator and organizer of the Forum for International Vascular Art VESSELS and the Kronberg Art Forum, which she founded in 2006.
