The Hewanorra International Airport is the international gateway to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia . It is located north of the town of Vieux Fort in the south of the island. In addition to the Hewanorra International Airport, there is also the smaller George FL Charles Airport on St. Lucia , which is closer to the capital Castries .
