Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia , (literally " fear of the number 666 ": in ancient Greek it says "ἑξακόσιa ἑξήκοντα ἕξi", or "Hexakosioihexekontahexa for 666 and phobos for fear") is a fear that has its origin in verse 13:18 of Revelation, one of the Books of the bible . This verse indicates that the number 666 is the number of the beast associated with Satan or the Antichrist . It is a specific anxiety disorder and describes the pathologically increased fear of the number 666. In addition to the Christian faith , this fear was made popular by using the number 666 as a symbol in horror films , pop culture and rock music .

The sufferer avoids thinking about the angel number 666, looking at that number, or ever saying it. Be it that the number 666 appears as a house number, telephone number, etc. - the number makes those affected fear excessive or even panic.
