Hexx was an American metal band from San Francisco , California that was founded in 1978 under the name Paradox and broke up in 1991.
history
The band was founded in 1978 under the name Paradox. In 1983 the band changed their name to Hexx. Shortly thereafter, the band signed a contract with Shrapnel Records and released their debut album No Escape in 1984. The album featured more traditional heavy metal with slight influences from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal . The second album Under the Spell was released in 1986, on which the thrash metal influences were clearly audible. Singer and guitarist Clint Bower, guitarist Dan Watson, bassist Bill Peterson and drummer John Shafer released an EP with Watery Graves in 1988 and Quest for Sanity in 1989 . In 1991 the last album Morbid Reality followed , on which the death metal influences increased noticeably. In the same year the band broke up.
