Heynburg is a district of the city of Gröningen in the Magdeburg Börde in Saxony-Anhalt .

The village is located at a height of 101 meters above sea level on the federal highway 81 halfway between Gröningen in the west and Kroppenstedt in the east.

Heynburg was initially built by the manor owner Heyne as a Vorwerk on the Gutsland belonging to his Gröninger estate. In 1853 the family built an independent manor on their land to which an independent knighthood was added. Through the battlements, people called the Gut Heynes Burg. This became Heynburg. Heynburg is still shaped today by the various houses that belonged to the former estate. In 1910 Heynburg had 110 inhabitants. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Heynes heirs, the Schliephacke families and the Barons von Uechtritz u. Steinkirch, the estate and village to the Wiersdorff and Hecker families. On September 30, 1928, the Heynburg manor district was dissolved and most of the city of Gröningen was allocated. In the vicinity of Heynburg there are two lakes designated as nature reserves . In addition to the Grundlos , this is Lake Seeburg, 1.5 km to the north .
