The Model 995 Hi-Point Carabiner is a US- made pistol carbine used for training and personal self-defense. The weapon has a black, skeletonized polymer stock .

With an optical sight or red dot sight, the weapon can be used with sufficient accuracy against targets from 100 to 150 meters.

It is a shooting blowback loader . The lock is made of a metal alloy, the pistol grip and other assemblies are made of polymer plastic. The cocking handle is attached to the left side of the weapon, the cases are ejected to the right.

On the left side of the weapon, above the handle, is the manual safety. Magazines are inserted into the pistol grip, the ejector lever is located at the base of the trigger guard.

The sight is basically open, but optional Picatinny rails can be installed instead of the rear sight .

Optionally, the weapon can also be equipped with a front-mounted folding handle, tactical lamp and a laser.
