Hiawatha Seiffert (* 1973 in Marburg ) is a German artist and designer .

From 2006 to 2010 he studied metal design / design with Werner Bünck and Georg Dobler at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences Hildesheim / Holzminden / Göttingen and from 2008 to 2009 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in the visual arts department with Otto Lorenz .

The theme of his work is space and time , form and surface. He uses metal (steel) as the basic material, which he combines with other materials or media in an apparent incompatibility. He became known for object shells made of forged machine chains / parts (found pieces / objet trouvé ). His work is represented at exhibitions around the world and has been awarded prizes; various museums have bought them.
