Hideomi Yamamoto ( Japanese 山 本 英 臣 , Yamamoto Hideomi ; born June 26, 1980 in Ichikawa , Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Hideomi Yamamoto learned to play football in the youth team of the first division club JEF United Ichihara Chiba . Here he signed his first professional contract in 1999. The club from Ichihara , a city in Chiba Prefecture , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . By the end of 2002 he had only four appearances in the first division. In 2003 he moved to Ventforet Kofu . The club from Kofu played in the second division, the J2 League . In 2005 he was third in the table with Kofu and rose to the first division. After two years he had to return to the second division at the end of 2007. In 2010 he was runner-up and rose again to the first division. After only one season, he was relegated to J2 in 2011. A year later he celebrated the championship of the second division with Ventforet and rose straight back to the J1. This time the club was able to stay in the top division for five years. At the end of 2017, however, he had to return to the second class.
