Building history

The High Court of American Samoa building was likely built between late 1900 and early 1904 for the United States Navy , which was responsible for the administration of the Eastern Samoa Islands under the Samoa Treaty of 1899 . Craftsmen from German Samoa supported the work on the construction of the house, which took almost three years . Since February 12, 1974, the High Court of American Samoa has been listed as a monument in the National Register of Historic Places under the name Courthouse of American Samoa .
