The University of the South Pacific ( USP ; German University of the South Pacific ) is a university that is spread across many different locations in the South Pacific . Her main focus is on studying the culture of Oceania and the environment. The university's research is attracting international attention, so that in addition to students from the Pacific states, an increasing number of students from all over the world are studying at the USP.

There is a campus in each of these states. There is also the School of Law in Vanuatu and the School of Agriculture and Food Technology in Samoa. The administration is located in Suva , the capital of Fiji.

In addition to the twelve operating states, the USP budget is primarily borne by Australia . On December 13, 2005, an agreement was signed between representatives of the university and the Australian government, according to which Australia will contribute 9.9 million Australian dollars over the next three years. The country also spends approximately $ 2.5 million a year on scholarships.
