Highgate is a small town in northern Jamaica . The city is located in County Middlesex in the Parish Saint Mary . In 2010 Highgate had a population of 5,454 people.

Highgate is inland on the island on a hill. The difference in altitude between the center of the village and the foothills is around 50 meters. The entire place is on average 280 meters above sea level. The landscape around Highgate alternates between wooded areas and cultivated land. The nearest towns are Whitehall, about 2 kilometers to the north . To the south are the towns of Richmond and Cuffy Gully .
