The Highway Lake ( English for Schnellstraßensee is) a 1.25-km long and up to 250 m wide lake on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . It is in the Vestfold Mountains .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1983. Its name is derived from the fact that the lake functions as a "expressway" when frozen between the Langnes Fjord and Taynaya Bay .
