Hilde Domin Prize for Literature in Exile
On the occasion of the 80th birthday of the poet Hilde Domin (until 1999 the wrong year of birth was 1912), the city of Heidelberg donated the 15,000 euro prize “Literature in Exile”, which is awarded every three years, and the first prize winner was Hilde Domin herself was.
Since her death (on February 22, 2006) the award has been given as the Hilde Domin Prize for Literature in Exile . It honors authors who are connected to the subject of "exile".
