Boris Khazanov
Boris Chasanow ( Russian Борис Хазанов ; born January 16, 1928 in Leningrad ) is a Russian author who has lived in Germany since 1982. His real name is Gennadi Moissejewitsch Faibussowitsch. Chasanow now lives in Munich .
Life
Boris Khazanov grew up in Moscow . He first studied classical philology until he was arrested in 1949 for anti-Soviet propaganda and sentenced to eight years of forced labor . After his early release in 1955, he studied medicine and worked as a doctor in Moscow. During this time he also began to work as a writer and translator. He translated Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz's philosophical correspondence and other works by German theologians into Russian .
